I don’t need to sell this place too much as it speaks for itself. Tl dr | limited variety decent cost, charcoal is a major flavor plusįor as much as I loved my two experiences here, I don’t go as often as it’s a farther drive than its Convoy counterparts. I’ll have to go a second time when I’m prepared to eat and give it its own post. The meat quality was not as good as their comparably-priced competitors, and there isn’t a whole lot of variety in banchan or meats, but service was good and friendly. It’s a small meat selection, but the best thing going for it is the charcoal, which I thought was not allowed in California unless you were grandfathered in. I came here wanting to try Chinese skewers, but turns out, shortly after they opened in 2016, they switched to the AYCE KBBQ… because those two have so much overlap…Īnyway, it was a pleasant surprise, even if I did have KBBQ earlier that week. Tl dr | best quality meat great banchan, inconsistent service, still worth the higher cost “buy three, get one free” on Tuesdays For those who want a deal, on Tuesdays, it’s “buy three, get one free” so make some hungry friends, fast. Clearly, this is one of my favorite go-tos when I can afford it. However, there is this one server who kicks ass whenever her shift starts. Every time I go, something doesn’t go right-it’s a pain getting someone’s attention, they forget something on our order, they’re slow-and it’s not always the same issue. That pretty penny also gets you a good variety of banchan, and good hot foods like cheese dip and dumplings. Its best quality is the quality of their meats, one of the best on this list, but it comes at a a premium.
